Continuous investment enables us to offer the most advanced material processing facilities. These range from fabrication, laser welding and cutting to press working, powder coating, slitting, shotblasting and painting, trapezoidal, multi-strand and press blanking, sawing and profiling. These facilities give us the capability to supply material cut and finished to exact size, length, shape and specification. We can even supply welded assemblies and high-strength tailored blanks. This reduces the time it takes to get material into our customers’ production cycles - cutting their operating expenses and material waste.

Global supply and long-term partnerships
We have customers in the Americas, Asia and Europe – making us a truly global supplier. To satisfy customers’ service and logistical needs, Tata Steel has distribution networks, service centres and sales offices offering global reach but local services. We have a highly efficient stock management system and round-theclock delivery services. Early Vendor Involvement (EVI)
The EVI engineering approach involves working closely with equipment makers  during the earliest design stages of their new product and model developments. Tata Steel provides design advice as well as recommending components, so that off highway machines can be optimised in terms of design, manufacturing and materials. This could cover improving the strength-to-weight ratio, tackling fatigue levels or product substitution to reduce processing cost. By considering both the production and the operation of a machine or component, Tata Steel engineers work in a collaborative way alongside a customer’s design teams.
